A UN PASO DE GLAMOUR STREET FASHION SHOW
Después de una pausa demasiado larga, vuelvo a conectarme al mundo blogger… y lo hago con una nueva imagen y con buenas noticias. Hace un par de semanas recibí una llamada:
Después de una pausa demasiado larga, vuelvo a conectarme al mundo blogger… y lo hago con una nueva imagen y con buenas noticias. Hace un par de semanas recibí una llamada:
"Buenos días, te
llamamos de la revista Glamour para informarte que has pasado a la segunda fase
de nuestro concurso. Tendrás que actualizar tu perfil lo antes posible!"
Las ganas de volver al
blog ya las tenía, pero por diversos motivos lo he tenido que ir aplazando. Así
que esta llamada fue el impulso que necesitaba para ponerme otra vez las pilas
y volver con más ganas que nunca.
Lo primero que pensé fue
que quería algo más que un simple título para la portada del blog y con la
ayuda de mi padre, que supo plasmar muy bien mi idea, conseguí exactamente lo
que deseaba: la imagen de una shopping girl, con los tacones bien anclados en
el presente y siempre mirando con optimismo hacía el futuro, todo bajo la sombra
de la Seu Vella, símbolo de mi ciudad adoptiva, que es realmente donde me
inicie en el mundo de las compras.
Luego me puse a pensar
en el vídeo que tenía que hacer para el concurso. Tenía un montón de ideas,
quería incluir tres outfits diferentes, pero por restricciones de duración y
dimensión del vídeo, decidí que la mejor manera de hacerlo sería manteniéndolo
sencillo. Y este es el resultado:
After being away for way too long, I plug back in to the blogger world…
and I do so with a renewed image and good news. A couple of weeks ago I
received a phone call:
“Hello, we are calling from Glamour Magazine to inform you that you have
passed to the second stage of our contest. You have to update your profile as
soon as possible!”
I’ve been wanting to get back to the blog for quite a while now, but I
was always forced to postpone it for one reason or another. So this call was
the impulse I needed to get a move on.
The first thing that came to my mind was that I wanted something more
than just a plain title for my blog´s cover and with some help from my father,
who managed to capture the essence of my idea, I got exactly what I wanted: the
image of a shopping girl, with her heels firmly anchored in the present and
always gazing optimistically towards the future, all this under the shade of
Seu Vella Cathedral, a symbol of my adoptive home-town, the place where I
became initiated into the shopping world.
The next step was preparing the video for the contest. I had lots of
ideas, and actually wanted to include three different outfits in my video, but
due to time and length restrictions, I decided that the best way to do it was by
keeping it simple. And this is the result:
